The Carpenter's Square

Coming in many shapes and sizes, the Carpenter's Square is a rather primitive, albeit incredibly useful tool in any craftsman's toolbox.

At first glance, you might see its only use is to simply mark 90-degree angles, but actually, the Carpenter's Square can be used to mark any angle between 90 and 45 degrees, it can be a guide for straight cuts via your power tools, and even in helping you to locate the exact center of a board without using any math!

The Point?

We often take our tools for face value - only using them for what it says on their packaging and not thinking of the true potential they possess.

Putting it to Practice

Did you know that many of the tools you are using can actually be linked to work together?  So that when something happens in one, you can automate an associated action in another?

With a free service like Zapier, you can do just that, plus loads of other helpful actions (or "Zaps")

What tools (or combination of tools) are you currently using "the same 'ol way" that could be serving you in even more ways with just a little bit of thinking or effort?

Thank you for reading and make it a great week!
