Remix and Reusing Your Content

Updated: April 19, 2026

Summarize this content:

How Do I Reuse Content?

Coming up with new content can be difficult, as you don’t want to sound repetitive and sometimes you just get hit with that creative block. A great way to always have content on hand is by recycling, “remixing”, or reusing your content. This may sound a little strange, but I promise it’s effective. For example, if you write a blog post, take bits and pieces of that post and use it for Facebook and Instagram captions! This way, the most important information is being shared on a variety of different platforms.

Why Should I Reuse Content?

Some people become concerned when they hear about “remixing” or reusing your content, as they feel as if consumers will think they’re unoriginal or incapable of coming up with new ideas. It’s a good idea to change the wording around a little bit to better fit the platform you’re sharing the information on, but it isn’t always necessary. Highlighting the key parts of a blog post and utilizing that information for different posts shows not only a great understanding of your organization, but also the interest of your audience. You know what they want and need to hear, so that’s exactly what you give them.

Remixing Blog Posts

Not everyone likes to read blog posts, so taking out these vital pieces and putting them into different forms such as descriptions and captions allows your audience to expand and stay interested in your company. Again, you need to keep the lifestyles of your consumers in mind, as if they are not social media heavy, blog posts will have a greater impact. For the majority of audiences in the world today, social media is important, so getting across as much important information in a line or two is crucial, as they may not want to read a whole blog post.

Is Reusing Content Useful?

Make the most of the content you have, using every little piece to make something greater. You have a great organization, so get that point across! The less time you have to think about new content, the more time you have to focus on other aspects of your business, such as getting donors and designing new programs and events.
