Why Do I Need Email Marketing?

Just as with social media, email marketing is an excellent way of communicating with your partners and donors. While posting updates on social media platforms such as Facebook and Twitter are essential in keeping clients involved and in the loop, email marketing helps to extend this contact and reach even more clients in a more "professional" way.

Has Social Media Taken Over Email?

Due to social media being a relatively new form of marketing, some more "old school" individuals don't feel as comfortable using it. A great way to solve this issue is to utilize email marketing on top of social media, as it allows for those more traditional marketers and clientele to receive information in a way they know is authentic.

Why is Email Marketing Effective?

The bonuses with email marketing are the various ways one is able to engage their donors and partners with ease. One of the most effective ways to get your donors and clients on the hook is by having a captivating subject line for the email. No one wants to open an email that seems like it would be boring and useless to them, as that's just a waste of time. Sending out weekly or biweekly newsletters with some important content, as well as links and/or videos embedded within the email sparks an interest with the donors, as giving them a little more than just a block of text is more aesthetically pleasing, therefore making donors and partners more likely to read and be excited about the emails.

How Can I Streamline My Email Marketing?

Some are hesitant to commit to using emails as a form of marketing due to the amount of time and effort it takes to create them. Luckily, there are platforms such as MailChimp that streamline all of your emails, sending them out on a timer that you are able to set, and even sorting your address list into categories, giving the ability to send specific customers content that would be of a greater interest to them.

Email Marketing is Key

Emails have been proven effective for marketing for years, as you can pack them full of content and release them on a regular basis, and now easier than ever. Email marketing is an essential part of every business, so making sure there is engagement within the emails is key. Keep subject lines interesting, content useful, and be consistent. Link in special videos and graphics that pertain to the content and make contact accessible to show your interest in them. The sooner you get started, the quicker your content will be seen and shared, growing your business and clientele with the click of a button.
