People across the world celebrate this holiday, generally buying their loved ones extravagant gifts and chocolates to show their appreciation and fondness for one another. While Valentine's Day may not personally be your favorite holiday, it is a great opportunity to get your name out there and make some sales.

You may be thinking to yourself, "What does my business have to offer for Valentine's Day? I don't sell anything romantic like flowers or greeting cards!". While that may be the case, it does not mean you can't jump on the red and shiny bandwagon. People love the thought of love, regardless of what your product or service is, give it a little romantic twist. For example, if you own a restaurant, offer Valentine's Day specials and make your dishes heart-shaped! Own a car wash? Offer a discount for a couple's carwash. No matter what industry you're in, there is always something you can do to be involved in the holidays.

Nowadays, social media is one of the most important tools in the marketing of a business. Holidays are always a guaranteed boom for social media, as posts about loved ones and gifts are appearing every second. Make a special post on your social media accounts such as Facebook and Twitter wishing everyone a "Happy Valentine's Day" and revealing a special deal or event you have for the holiday. The filter can be anything from some hearts with the text "Happy Valentine's Day From X Company" to more complex graphics with a cute little creative saying or joke.
The more creative (and usually funny) you are, the better. When consumers take Snapchats around your location, they will be able to apply your filter and send the photo to their friends, therefore expanding your audience with a click of a button you don't even have to push!

These "reminder" emails keep your business in the minds of the consumers, as well as update them on special sales or events. Decorations will catch the eyes of passerby's who may never have noticed your business, or never gone in. This is a great way to get new customers, as well as excite the loyal ones.
